Weird Melvin is a cartoon character created by Marc Hansen. It began in 1991 as a weekly comic strip in the Comics Buyers Guide, and as a quarterly comic book in 1995. Only five issues were published. They were collected into a trade paperback in 2004 and published by NOW Comics.
The story if about a young boy called The Kid whose favorite comic book character, a monster-killer called Weird Melvin, comes to life. Together, they form a bond of friendship with the blood-thirsty destruction of all monsters as its glue. Their arch foe is The Swamp Witch, who is battling with The Kid to be Weird Melvin's number one fan, and also to be impregnated by Weird Melvin so that she can start a race of evil fiends.
